Daniel Muir was named head girls’ basketball coach at Pleasant Valley High School.

Muir was hired at the school board meeting on July 16. He will be paid $6,450.

Muir replaces Nadia Pavuk (Gauronsky), who recently accepted the girls head coaching position at Jim Thorpe High School. Pavuk had a 145-117 record in her 11 years as the Bears’ head coach, including a 13-10 mark last season.
