Lehighton Manufacturing Company officials discussed their impending move to Carbon County last night with the Industrial Development Corporation members in the municipal building.

The company has been located in Emerald for the past 10 years and recently purchased the property of the Penn Valley Canning Company, Mahoning Valley, in the vicinity of Normal Square.

Also last night, E.A. Poe was re-elected president of the LIDC. Other officers are Dr. Richard Gladding, vice president; George Mandour, secretary; and George LaRose, treasurer. They will also serve on the board of directors, as will George Hein, Albert U. Koch, Alvin Smith, Ralph Rehrig, Loren Bisbing and Frank Bayer.
