One person was injured in a crash in Nesquehoning Sunday night.

At 9:45 p.m., crews from New Columbus, Hauto, and Nesquehoning fire companies along with Lehighton ALS were dispatched to the 200 block of West Catawissa Street for a crash with entrapment. A woman was confined inside a 2020 Kia.

Reports from the driver were that a dog ran in front of her and she swerved to avoid striking it.

The fire departments cut the passenger side door to get the driver out. She was then treated by Lehighton ALS and transported to a hospital.
