State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 8:14 p.m. on June 28 along Route 940 in East Side Borough, Carbon County, which led the driver being charged with driving under the influence.

Troopers said Kimberly Cunningham, 54, of White Haven, was driving a 2006 Buick Lacrosse eastbound when the car went off the road and struck three mail boxes. The car then continued into the front lawn at 3277 Route 940 and struck an embankment along with multiple small lawn ornaments.

Cunningham was not injured. She was found to be impaired and placed under arrest for DUI.
