State police at Lehighton were summoned on June 21 to a residence on Skyway Drive in Polk Township to investigate a bad check incident.

The 44-year-old woman from Kunkletown reported she received a check in the mail for an online ad she signed up for.

The $2,000 check she received was fraudulent.
