State police at the Fern Ridge barracks report on the following crashes:
• Police cited Mukhriddin Zayniddinov, 20, of Oakdale, PA, for following too closely after a mishap at 8:20 p.m. June 26 on Interstate 80 westbound.
Police said he was driving a 2018 Ford Fusion and was behind a 2006 Toyota Tundra driven by Jared M. O’Neill, 41, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, when the latter slowed down. Police said the Fusion struck the rear of the Tundra. Neither driver was injured.
• Police were summoned to a two-vehicle crash at 1:48 p.m. June 20 on the off-ramp of Interstate 80 eastbound in Tobyhanna Township. Police said no one was injured.
They said a 2020 Toyota Corolla was preparing to make a left turn at the intersection of the off-ramp with Route 115 and had applied her brakes when the Corolla was struck from behind by a 2010 Honda CRV whose driver told police she thought the Corolla left the intersection.
Both drivers refused emergency medical services treatment at the scene.
• Five people were injured when two vehicles rolled over in a crash at 7:05 p.m. June 19 on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County.
Police said all of the victims had minor injuries and refused transports by the Pocono Mountain Regional Emergency Medical Services personnel. They included Mariano A. Rosario Moreno, 29, of Kearney, New York, the driver of one of the vehicles, and two of his passengers, Emily D. Rodriguez, 20, of New York, New York, and a 17-year-old male from New York, and Siobhan M. Treacy, 27, of Delmar, New York, the driver of the second vehicle, and Lee P. Thompson, 33, also of Delmar, her passenger.
Police said Rosario Moreno was driving a 2005 Honda Accord that struck Treacy’s 2019 GMC Canyon, causing both vehicles to roll over.
In addition to the EMS corps, police were assisted at the scene by the Tobyhanna Township Fire Company and Jimmy’s Auto.
