Lane restrictions on Route 248 in Northampton County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be milling and paving on Route 248 in Bath Borough, Lehigh, Moore, and East Allen Townships through July 31.

Lane restrictions will be in place between routes 946 and 512 between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of a project that includes road base repairs, milling and paving, repairs to bridge decks, ADA curb ramps, guide rail upgrades and pavement markings.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $4,127,435 project.

This work will be done in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job site, and relevant training.
