Elbert Solt, Lehighton Area School District’s superintendent, will serve the Carbon County Vocational-Technical School Operating Committee in that same capacity during the 1978-79 school term.

This was announced during Thursday night’s meeting of the committee.

Solt will succeed Thomas Walker, Weatherly Area School District superintendent.

Elmer Hinkle, Weatherly, committee chairman, pointed out superintendents of the five school districts in the county serve the operating committee in an advisory capacity on a year-to-year rotating basis.
