Police issue warrant for man stopped with drugs, stolen gun

State police at Lehighton are looking for a Monroe County man wanted in connection with drug possession and firearm violation.

Troopers said at 6:06 p.m. June 17 troopers stopped a 2013 Mazda CX5 along Interchange Road at Becky Lane, in Polk Township, for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Christopher Petrides, 21, of Effort. During the stop Petrides was found to be in possession of a large amount of suspected marijuana, related drug paraphernalia and a stolen semi-automatic firearm.

Troopers said an arrest warrant has been issued for Petrides.
