Jeanette Rossino’s dream came true Saturday night.
The 19-year-old Jim Thorpe woman captured the third runner-up spot in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant held in Altoona.
The Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales student, who said she had hoped to finish in the top 10 of the pageant, won a $500 scholarship for her third runner-up finish, and was awarded the prestigious John D. Riley Memorial Scholarship, a $300 award to the contestant pursuing her education in the medical field.
She entered the competition after having won the Miss Pocono Scholarship Pageant sponsored earlier this year by the Panther Valley Chamber of Commerce.
