Two Schuylkill County residents are the victims of a theft of a large amount of money at a Lehigh County hotel.

State police at Bethlehem said troopers were dispatched on Feb. 22 about 11:03 p.m. to a hotel which they declined to identify, along Airport Road in Hanover Township, for a theft.

Troopers said a 42-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, both of Pottsville, had items taken from their room, including a safe containing $5,000. The theft occurred while the victims were in the process of transferring rooms. Also taken was a silver and black bottom bathing suit valued at $20.
