More than 1,000 men, women and young people converged on Lansford Sunday afternoon for a special Diocesan Corpus Christi Procession, representing a “first” in Carbon County.
The Most Rev. Thomas J. Welsh, Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown, presided over the inspiring ceremony which marked the observance of Corpus Christi (The Hold Body and Blood of Christ).
Among those serving as homilists were the Rev. John A. Auchter, pastor of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Lake Harmony; the Rev. Robert J. Kuzmann, professor at Marian Catholic High School, Hometown; and the Rev. Gregory Karpyn, assistant pastor of Holy Guardian Angels Parish, Reading.
