Northampton Community College’s Monroe Campus Beta Beta Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International honor society of two-year colleges, received multiple awards at the 2020 Regional Convention which was held virtually on March 27. These awards are based on the chapter initiatives during the 2019 calendar year.

The following local students were not just part of the 2019 team, but also were chosen as officers for 2020-2021: Rashawna Chambers of Albrightsville, president; Joseph Touni of Kunkletown, vice president; and Rebecca James of Effort, vice president of media.

Chambers also earned the following individual awards: Hall of Honor Chapter Officer and Middle States Region Superhero - October 2019.
