In the Carbon County primary, the only contested local races are for the delegates to the national convention. The in-present votes are being logged in tonight. The 6,600 mail-in ballots will be opened beginning Wednesday.
In the 124th legislative district, incumbent Republican Jerry Knowles is unopposed. He will face off against Democrat Taylor Picone in the general election.
Incumbent Republican Doyle Heffley is unopposed on the Republican ticket for the 122nd district. No one is on the Democratic ticket , but Kara Scott has launched a write-in campaign.
