State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:
• Police cited Melvin Utley, 56, of Albrightsville, for false alarms/dialing devices after they were summoned to a property he owns at 72 Patten Circle, Penn Forest Township, at 6:50 p.m. May 17.
Police said they were summoned there for a burglary alarm going off, but found the home to be secure. After determining the response was the sixth one in a 12-month period for the same reason, police cited the man.
• A 37-year-old Stroudsburg man was charged with assault after they responded to a domestic dispute at 9:51 p.m. May 8 along Schuler Lane in Jackson Township.
A 30-year-old woman from Stroudsburg told police her boyfriend hit her in the head and burned her with a cigarette during the dispute.
The man was not identified by troopers.
• Police are investigating a burglary that happened between 5 p.m. May 15 and noon May 16 at a home in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said the victim’s residence along Eastbrook Road was broken into and damaged and items valued in excess of $2,100, including a $1,200 Troy Built lawn mower, were stolen.
The damages were to the wooden garage door and a storm window. The other items stolen included three televisions (52, 36 and 28 inches; a nail gun; a screw gun and a leaf blower.
