State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a scattering rubbish (illegal dumping) incident reported at 2:09 p.m. May 3.

It happened behind the Weis store at 924 Weir Lake Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the store manager told them someone dumped a stereo, printer, tires, hose, shovel and multiple articles of clothing behind the building.
