Tamaqua Police Log
Tamaqua police reported on the following arrests made by officers:
• Kietchen Eaches, 38, of the 500 block of E. Elm St., Tamaqua, has been charged with endangering the welfare of children.
Police said on May 10 at 1:36 p.m. they were dispatched to Eaches residence for a welfare check of his children, ages 8 and 5. While speaking with the children, they were asked where their father was. They said he was at a friend’s house. Before this incident, on May 6, at 9:38 p.m., police were sent to the home for a welfare check and found the two children alone. While police were there Eaches returned home and was told by officers he cannot leave his children unattended.
• Joshua Robert McArdle, 28, of the 400 block of Arlington St., Tamaqua, is facing a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said on April 25 at 1:21 p.m. they were alerted by a citizen that McArdle was walking eastbound on East Broad Street. Police were aware there was an active warrant for his arrest. Officers responded to that location and found McArdle and took him into custody.
While being taken into custody police found in his front right pocket a glass pipe with tar residue. McArdle acknowledged using methamphetamine. Charges were filed. McArdle was committed to the county prison on the active warrant.
• On April 29 at 11:10 a.m. police responded to the Burger King restaurant along Center Street for a report of a phony $50 bill being used to purchase food. On scene police made contact with Pamela Rossi, 35, of the 400 block of Pine St., Tamaqua, who had the bill. She claimed she found it on the ground outside Fegley’s Mini Mart, Center Street, and did not know it was fake.
After speaking with Burger King management, who was satisfied with charging Rossi with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass notice. The phony $50 bill was confiscated and placed into evidence.
