Lehigh Valley Health Network announces valet services have reopened and operate under strict safety precautions to protect our patients, visitors and colleagues at the following locations:
• Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, main entrance, emergency department, cancer senter and medical office building.
• Lehigh Valley Hospital–17th Street, main entrance
• Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, north entrance
• Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton (Main Entrance)
• Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono (Cancer Center)
All vehicle occupants must wear a face mask when they pull up to valet services unless they have a medical reason for not being able to do so. Our valet attendants ask that drivers also lower the windows of their vehicle to allow for proper air out time.
LVHN staff are required to wear personal protective equipment including face masks, eye protection and single use gloves. Valet attendants change their gloves after driving each vehicle. They also use disposable steering wheel covers and sterilize vehicle keys. Plus, their work stations are sanitized hourly and the cleaning is logged, so our team members continue to serve patients, their families and visitors in a COVID-SAFE environment.
All high-touch areas such as the gear shift, handles and window switches are wiped down with disinfectant before the vehicle is returned to the patient or visitor. A steering wheel tag indicates that a vehicle was sanitized.
To maintain social distancing, there are markers on the ground to ensure patients and visitors stay 6 feet apart when waiting for their vehicle to be retrieved.
