LCCC S-STEM Scholarship Deadline Approaches

Lehigh Carbon Community College students in one of the 25 programs in science, technology, engineering and math have the opportunity to receive up to $5,000 in scholarships per year through a National Science Foundation grant.

The Scholarships in STEM program is designed to encourage students to pursue these promising careers.

Majors include areas such as biology and chemistry, as well as computer science, drafting and design, and programs in technology, to name a few.

As part of the scholarship program, students will: Participate in activities related to their area of study; receive support services that help prepare them for college and career; work with faculty mentors who will guide them and promote their success; and prepare for the STEM workforce by creating an online portfolio showcasing their goals, reflections and achievements.

The application priority deadline for fall semester is June 30. Details and requirements about the STEM scholarships can be found at www.lccc.edu/scholarships.
