A Summit Hill woman attended her first meeting last night as a member of the Coaldale State General Hospital’s Board of Trustees.

Irene Pribilla, 422 W. White St., told the nine-member board she welcomes the opportunity to serve the hospital and the community.

Pribilla replaces the late Charles McFadden, who had served as chairman of the board.

In business matters, the hospital formed a planning committee to focus on long-range hospital planning. The committee expects to meet with Aldo Colautti, Secretary of Welfare, to make known their feelings about the hospital system when a task force studying the future the state’s hospital system begins its hearings later this year.
