Dear editor,
I am enclosing a poem for all moms on Mother’s Day:
One True Friend
Here we are still together you and I.
After all those years of looking I thought true friendship had passed me by.
It’s been a tough ride, you know that much is true.
But with all our ups and downs I’m glad I took the ride with you.
We face another tough challenge today and I pray you’ll remain by my side.
And through this stormy darkness we can be each other’s guide.
I know you are the friend who’ll be there to see me through.
But if we don’t get to see forever, remember, Mom, that I love you.
My only wish is that I can show you brighter days, ’cause that’s all you deserve to see.
And give you back a little of the joy and love that you gave to me.
So if our time on earth ever comes to an end.
I’m thankful that in my lifetime I had at least one true friend.
Happy Mother’s Day.
