Judge Albert H. Heimbach today approved an amendment in the articles of incorporation of the rector, church wardens and vestrymen of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Jim Thorpe.

The petition submitted by W. Joseph Engler, Esq., in behalf of the church group, called for a deletion of a provision of Article 6 in the charter, which reads as follows: “The business of this corporation shall be managed by eight vestrymen who shall be male communicants of the church chosen in such manner as the bylaws shall prescribe on Easter Sunday of every year, at which election the rector, if present, shall be entitled to preside.”
