State police at Lehighton report on crashes

State police at Lehighton reported the following crashes:

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. Monday along Route 115 at the intersection with Meixsell Valley Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Harold J. Nelson Jr., of Effort, attempted to make a left-hand turn in front of a vehicle operated by John R. Clissold, of Manalapan Township, New Jersey, and a collision occurred. Both driver sustained suspected minor injuries but declined medical attention. Troopers were assisted at the scene by volunteers from the West End ambulance and Blue Ridge Fire Company. Both vehicles were towed.

• No one was hurt and a 2014 Jeep Liberty was able to be driven from the scene of a mishap at 6:24 a.m. May 2 on Germans Road in East Penn Township.

Police said the vehicle was westbound when it struck a deer that jumped from the wood line and was struck.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that was reported at 12:48 p.m. April 30 along Route 534 at Beltzville Drive in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Police said Nicholas R. Hahn, 27, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala at a speed too great for conditions. A vehicle traveling on Beltzville Drive, stopped for a stop sign and proceeded to make a right hand turn. Hahn attempted to avoid a crash and maneuvered to the left into the oncoming lane where his vehicle struck a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Michael P. West, 61, of Kresgeville. After impact the Impala went onto the shoulder of the road and struck a large boulder where it came to rest.

Troopers cited Hahn for the crash.
