Kyle T. Hummel, 28, of Slatington, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:04 a.m. April 29 on Hudson Drive in Packer Township.

State police at the Hazleton barracks said he was driving a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound when it left the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, coming to rest facing northwest in a wooded area.

Police said Hummel told them the rear-right tire of the vehicle blew out, causing the crash.

The vehicle sustained disabling front-end damages and was towed from the scene.
