A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Luzerne County.

State police at Hazleton said the crash occurred at11:40 a.m. on April 27 along Pecora Boulevard in Hazle Township. Troopers said Robert J. Compton, 64, of Mountain Top, was eastbound driving a 2015 Ford Explorer while Stanley L. Wojcik, 49, of McAdoo, was leaving a parking lot driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue. As Wojcik entered the roadway he failed to do so safely with the front of his vehicle hitting the front driver’s side of Compton’s vehicle.

There were no injuries. Troopers cited Wojcik for stop signs/yield signs and Compton for lack of insurance.
