Palmerton Police Department have warned residents to lock their vehicles after several cars were entered into over the weekend.

Borough police Chief Randy Smith said the incident occurred sometime Friday night into Saturday morning in the 100 block of Alley E.

“At least four or five cars were entered,” Smith said. “Medications, other things were taken out of cars, some

Smith encouraged residents to take precautions with their vehicles.

“With everybody at home, they need to remove valuables medication, lock their cars,” he said.

Smith said the incident remains under investigation.
