The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:
There was nothing reported for Northampton or Schuylkill counties for the week of April 27-May 3.
Carbon County
• Lehighton, Route 443/Blakeslee Boulevard Drive inspection between Route 209/East Bridge Street and East Penn Street, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
• Palmerton, Route 248 POW/MIA Memorial Highway inspection between Route 946 and Delaware Avenue, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
• Lehighton/Parryville/Palmerton, Route 248 pothole patching between Route 209 and Northampton County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Kidder Township/Eastside, Route 940 lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Luzerne County line and Monroe County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Lehigh County
• Upper Saucon Township, I-78 West at Exit 60 (Route 309) inspection between Exit 67 (Route 412) and Exit 59 (to Route 145), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
• Hanover Township, Route 22 at Airport Road lane restriction for overhead sign structure inspection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
• Bethlehem City, Route 987/Airport Road at Route 22 lane restriction northbound for overhead sign structure inspection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
• Lehigh and Northampton counties, I-78 line painting between Exit 45 (Route 863) and Exit 67 (Route 412), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Monroe County
• Various municipalities, I-80 lane restrictions in both directions between New Jersey state line and Exit 299 (Route 715), 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Multiple townships, Route 33 lane restriction between Lehighton Exit and Northampton County line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
