Blazius Zeiser, Lafayette Avenue resident of Palmerton, was named Outstanding Democrat at the annual Candidates’ Night program of the Palmerton Democratic Association held Friday evening at the Blue Ridge Country Club.

In making the presentation of several gifts to Zeiser, club president Peter A. Turko stated, “Blaz never refused an assignment. He boasts of being born a Democrat, living as a Democrat and dying as a Democrat.”

Turko read letters of congratulations to Zeiser from State Auditor General Al Benedict and Carbon County Commissioner Charles Wildoner, while state Rep. Keith McCall gave a verbal salute to Zeiser for his many years of Democratic service to Carbon County.
