The Big 33 Football Classic and East West Game were both canceled for the season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“It is with deep regret that the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association must cancel all of our major events surrounding Memorial Day Weekend 2020,” the organization that runs both events released in an email. “These public events include the Big 33 Football Classic, East West Game, a first-ever PSFCA High School Combine, USA Football 1st Down Clinic, Military Murph Competition, and the Big 33 Fan Experience.”
Northwestern quarterback Deven Bollinger, the 2019 Times News/LVHN Football Player of the Year, was scheduled to play in the East West Game.
Bollinger completed 131-of-221 passes for 2,105 yards and 35 touchdowns. The University of Delaware recruit also ran the ball 181 times for 1,005 yards and eight scores, helping the Tigers post a 10-2 record and a share of the Colonial League title.
