The Carbon County Redevelopment Authority took time out from regular business yesterday to honor Joseph Boyle of Jim Thorpe, retired Times News reporter, for his dedication and contributions in covering authority sessions.

Adam Begel, chairman of the authority, presented Boyle a plaque containing a resolution adopted by the board in honor of Boyle, citing his sincere interest in community betterment and revitalization and commending him for his professional journalistic career by affording fair and factual news coverage.

The resolution was signed by Begel and other authority members, Jacqueline Batovsky, Bernice Snyder, Roy Zimardo and Richard Merluzzi.
