A Schuylkill County woman admitted in Carbon County court on Monday to having sexual relations with a male juvenile.
Ariel Sky Stevens, 22, of Coaldale, pleaded guilty to one count of corruption of a minor. She was charged on March 22, 2016, by Lansford police with having sexual relations with a then 13-year-old boy at a residence along Patterson Street. Police said the sex was in exchange for supplying the victim with marijuana.
In exchange for the plea, the district attorney’s office dropped felony counts of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor (sexual) and corruption of a minor. She pleaded to a misdemeanor 1 count. There were 21 continuances in the case.
Stevens is currently an inmate in the state correctional institution at Muncy, Lycoming County, serving a sentence imposed in Schuylkill County with the minimum running to July.
Matika sentenced her to serve three to 24 months in a state prison with credit for 338 days already served. The term runs concurrent with Schuylkill County’s sentence. She was also ordered to supply a DNA sample, have no contact with the victim and render 75 hours of community service when paroled.
