A fire has destroyed a structure and damaged a nearby wooden building and home Saturday afternoon in West Penn Township.

The fire was reported just after 4 p.m. in the 1500 block of Penn Drive, Route 443. When firefighters arrived on scene the wooden structure was fully involved in flames.

The heat of the inferno melted the siding on the nearby building and the home. Fire companies from West Penn, Mahoning Valley, New Ringgold and Walker Township responded to the blaze.
