There are now ten presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania as of Monday afternoon, including one in Monroe County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The Department reported on Monday that there were three new cases in the state: two in Montgomery County and one in Monroe.
The new cases brought the total for the state to 10. According to Department of Health, there are now seven cases in Montgomery County, and one each in Monroe, Wayne, and Delaware counties.
In a press release, Pa. Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said her department is prepared for additional cases in the coming days and weeks.
“Right now, you have a higher chance of testing positive for COVID-19 if you have traveled to a country or state with known community outbreaks or have come in contact with someone who has the virus. We are working with the health care community across Pennsylvania to keep them informed, consult on patient testing and ensuring they have the resources they need to care for patients,” Levine said.
