The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for March 9-13 is:
Monday: Carrot ginger soup, teriyaki glaze pork, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, melon or turkey wrap
Tuesday: Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple slices or Reuben sandwich
Wednesday: Beef stew, potatoes, peas, fruit salad or spinach salad
Thursday: Glazed turkey, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, baked apples or Greek salad with chicken
Friday: Vegetable lasagna, Italian beans, cauliflower, peaches or Italian sandwich
The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events for March 9-13.
Birthday Bingo on March 9 at 10:45 a.m.; Fall Prevention Workshop presented by Achieva Rehab on March 10 at 10:30 a.m.; Yahtzee on March 11 at 11 a.m.; Cards, Ladder ball, Darts on March 12 at 10 a.m.; Nickel-keeno on March 13 at 11 a.m.
Upcoming trips: Wind Creek Casino trip on March 19 and Sights and Sounds June 25 to see the Queen Esther Show.

Public library story hour
The Panther Valley Public Library will be holding preschool story hour Tuesdays at 10 a.m. beginning March 10.
The program is open to children ages 3-5. Children will enjoy a story, do a craft and have a snack.
The program will run every Tuesday until May 19.

Nesquehoning
Historical Society
The Nesquehoning Historical Society will be hosting a Spring Cleanup Day and Open House from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. All society members and guests are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
Members will be performing maintenance, cleaning and setting up displays.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s collection. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the displays and to share stories from Nesquehoning’s past.
The mission of the Nesquehoning Historical Society is to preserve and share the memories of all those who have called Nesquehoning their home. The society hosts regular monthly meetings on every fourth Tuesday.
The Nesquehoning Historical Society is located in the former Nesquehoning Baptist Church at 157 W. Railroad St. Ample parking is available in the lot directly adjacent to the building.
Annual dues for members are $10.
For those would like to support the work of the society but are unable to attend meetings in person, donations and membership dues may be mailed by check or money order to the Nesquehoning Historical Society at 157 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.

Meed’s Memorial
Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., has announced the following schedule at the church.
Sunday services will be held at 11 a.m. Nursery and children’s Sunday school are available during the service.
The church also hosts a clothing ministry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.
The next community dinner at the church will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on March 25.
