March is Music In Our Schools Month, and tonight the Palmerton Area School District will present its 6th Annual Music In Our Schools Month Celebration Concert, which will feature the bands and choruses from the high school, junior high, and elementary schools.

Each band and chorus will present a selection on its own, and various combinations of groups will also perform. Highlights will include the combined choruses from all schools singing a piece called Tumekuja Kuimba, the combined bands from all schools playing a piece called “T-Rex,” and all student performers and the audience joining together at the end for the Alma Mater.

There will be 163 students involved in the performance. The concert in the high school auditorium starts at 7 p.m., is open to the public, and admission is free.
