Palmerton Camera Club announces Salon results

Palmerton Camera Club recently announced the results for Salon: “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.”

Twelve members submitted their best photos for the competition, and had the opportunity to view each other’s entries and hear what the judge had to say about each entry.

This competition topic was progression. The idea was to tell a story without any words or captions and tell the story with a clear beginning, a middle and conclusion to the story.

Photographers had almost a year to come up with different stories to photograph.

Joel Styer, professional photographer and judge, from Reading judged the competition. He discussed all the technical aspects of the photographs and said that there was not a “bad” entry in any of the submissions.

Jeannie Carl is the president of the Palmerton Camera Club.
