A look back: Feb. 14, 1972

A total of $925.04 was realized during the Heart Fund dance held Saturday night at the Summit Hill Rod and Gun Club.

More than 300 people attended the event, held for the benefit of the Heart Association of Mideastern Pennsylvania.

Music was furnished by the Junior Magnatones. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Miller served as dance chairpeople, with Francis Lawton being the town chairman.

Mrs. Michael Serina of Lansford was named “Heart Queen” during the evening’s festivities, receiving flowers, candy and perfume, with her attendants being Mrs. Francis Lawton and Mrs. Christy Lisella, both of Summit Hill.
