CCTI’s DECA chapter participates in competition

Carbon Career and Technical Institute’s DECA chapter participated in the annual DECA District 7 competition on Dec. 6.

More than 350 students from 10 schools participated in the event. The competition included a 100-question written test and a role play scenario that the student had to solve and present to a judge. The combination of the scores determined the final results of each event. Events included various marketing, hospitality and sports events. The top six students in the individual events and the top four team participants will advance to the state conference in Hershey this February.

Sixty-two CCTI DECA members participated.

Rebekah Lorah scored a perfect 100% on her role play. A total of 31 students qualified for the state conference.
