Penn’s Peak will welcome Sons of Apollo with special guest Tony MacAlpine on Feb. 7. The show begins at 8 p.m.

Sons of Apollo is a supergroup featuring Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Billy Sheehan and Jeff Scott Soto. Their debut album, “Psychotic Symphony,” was released on 2017, while their second album, “MMXX” was released Jan. 17.

“Derek and I reunited shortly after I left Dream Theater in 2010 and we put together an all-instrumental touring band with Billy Sheehan and Tony MacAlpine,” Portnoy said. “That was my first time working with Derek since the ’90s when he was in Dream Theater, and it was just great to be working with him again. ”

Songs on the band’s new album, which will be featured intertwined with old favorites may include “Good Divinity,” “Desolate July” and “Wither to Black.”
