The Blakeslee area of Monroe County has a new walk-in medical center along Route 940, opposite the Sportsman’s Restaurant.

A comprehensive unit, it is being staffed by Drs. Johnyne J. Supulski and Renato T. Diaz, co-directors, and Melita M. Konecke, an associate.

Known as the Pocono Medical Center, it provides the area residents and visitors with urgent and routine medical care on a no-appointment basis from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.

Services provided include minor emergency care such as treatment of sprains, broken bones, burns and cuts; general medical problems such as sore throats, stomach aches and rashes; and general physical examinations.
