Calvary Lewistown

The Rev. Susan Moore will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are held at 9:15 a.m.

Saturday, Christmas decorations will be removed beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday in Zion Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes will meet at 9:15 a.m.

The Guild will meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Dedication of the Education building will take place after morning worship on Jan. 12. The fundraising committee will meet on Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m., followed by the preschool board at 7:30 p.m.

Andreas VFW

VFW Post 5069 of Andreas will meet on Jan. 8 at West Penn Annex at 7 p.m. to discuss upcoming Wounded Warrior project.

Soup Social

Trinity United Church of Christ, 22 Lafayette St., Tamaqua will hold its free, monthly soup social on Saturday.

Free soup and fellowship will be available from 4 to 6 p.m.

Participants are asked to use the lower parking lot entrance to the church social hall.
