Michael Dower, 24, of Mahanoy City, was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, after state police at the Frackville barracks learned there was an active arrest warrant against him in Schuylkill County.

Police said they were summoned at 11:13 a.m. Dec. 16 to the area of West Main Street, Girardville, for an incident where it was determined Dower was inside a stranger’s 2007 Ford Mustang without permission. Police said he was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

When it was determined an active arrest warrant was out against Dower, parole officers from the Schuylkill County Adult Probation/Parole Office were summoned and took Dower into custody.
