Dimmick Memorial Library, 54 Broadway, Jim Thorpe has the following events.
• The library’s annual Gingerbread House Competition runs through Thursday. Stop by the library to vote for your favorite. The library will award the prizes for the top three houses on Thursday.
• Story-time will be held every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. in the library. Tuesday’s theme is Christmas.
• The Dimmick Friends of the library will be meeting at 10 a.m. on Dec. 19.
• The Dimmick Lab Rats: STEM Saturday event will be on Dec. 21 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Stop in, explore and learn in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Every month, the library will do a themed project aimed to teach you more about the science of the world around us.
• Stop in any time throughout the month of December to view the art of our very own Coaltown Crafters. Stained Glass artist John Bushnell is also displaying his art in the library. 100% of the proceeds of both shows benefit the library directly.
• The library will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. It will also be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for the celebration of the New Year.
