Our son is currently serving in the United States Army. Since his enlistment in 2017, he has been stationed outside of Pennsylvania. As his parents, we attempted several times to send the proper documentation to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue in order for him to receive a full refund of all Pennsylvania taxes that were taken from his military paychecks.

Upon several attempts with no success, we reached out to state Rep. Doyle Heffley’s office. Outreach specialist Donna Horn assisted us in this process. Her outward show of concern and support in helping us was admirable. We as a family cannot thank state Rep. Doyle Heffley and his staff, especially Mrs. Horn, enough for all of their help. My son recently received his full refund for both his Pennsylvania 2017 and 2018 taxes.
