Pennsylvania State Police reported that several people were injured in a one-vehicle crash shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 81 south bound near mile marker 166.7 in Wilkes Barre Township, Luzerne County. Sev

The SUV lost control and rolled several times resulting in numerous ejections and other injuries. Ten medic units from across the area transported the patients to both Geisinger Wyoming Valley and Wilkes Barre General Hospital. One patient was airlifted to Geisinger Danville for further treatment of injuries.

The occupants included a 40 year-old man, and a 28- and 29-year-old woman.

Seven juveniles were in the vehicle.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional information may be released Monday or later this week.

Both lanes of Interstate 81 sounthbound were closed for about five hours.
