Meed’s Memorial Church

Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., will host a free Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. Seating times are at 1, 3 and 5 p.m.

To make reservations for the Thanksgiving dinner, call the church at 570-669-9212 and leave your name, contact number and the number of people in your party.

Sunday services will be held at 11 a.m. Nursery and children’s Sunday school are available during the service.

The church also hosts a clothing ministry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for Nov. 25-29 is:

Monday: Minestrone soup, spaghetti with meat sauce, spinach, pineapples or Italian sandwich

Tuesday: Ginger chicken, stir fry vegetables, brown rice, orange or Greek salad

Wednesday: Turkey Diane, mashed potatoes, broccoli, bread pudding or Reuben sandwich

Thursday: Center closed

Friday: Center closed

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events for Nov. 18-29.

Now You Have It Now You Don’t on Nov. 25 at 11 a.m.; Surprise Box Bingo on Nov. 26 at 10:45 a.m.; Penny Game on Nov. 27 at 11 a.m.; Center closed Nov. 28 and 29.
