Three local district magistrate judges have been recertified after the successful completion of a continuing legal education program conducted by the Minor Judiciary Educational Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts held in Harrisburg.

The judges are Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek of District 56-3-03 in Lansford, Judge Eric M. Schrantz of District 56-3-01 in Jim Thorpe, and Senior District Judge Edward M. Lewis.

The weeklong instructional program is designed to ensure that Magisterial District Judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques required to fairly adjudicate cases and effectively supervise a district court office.
