October 30, 1942 — Joe Pancoe tosses a pair of touchdowns passes to help lead Nesquehoning to a 26-0 victory over Summit Hill. Pancoe connects with Dick Kuzma on an 18-yard scoring toss in the second quarter to get the Nesquers on the board. The winners, coached by Tony Mezza, extend the lead when Pancoe hooks up with Joe Petrock for another 18-yard TD pass. An interception by “Cosmo” Bonner helps set up Billy McCullian’s 23-yard scoring run, while Nesquehoning seals the win on a 57-yard pick-six by Johnny Stianche.
