Halloween Karaoke

Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company, 259 Lime St., will host Halloween Karaoke beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday. Come dressed in costume. Drink specials and prizes for costumes.

Craft fair & basket social

The 25th annual Towamensing Elementary PTO craft fair & basket social will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The school is located at 7920 Interchange Road, Lehighton. Come out to shop amazing crafters, 50/50 raffle, basket auction and enjoy a bite to eat. Drawing is at 3 p.m.

Designer purse bingo

Bomber Music designer purse bingo featuring Coach & Michael Kors will be held Saturday at the West End Fire Company Social Hall, 855 Princeton Ave., Palmerton. Doors open at noon, and bingo begins at 1:30 p.m. There will be a basket raffle, concessions and door prizes. All proceeds benefit music students of the Palmerton Area School District.

Fall concert

The Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., will host a fall concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Traditional Russian music featuring vocalist Dr. Elizabeth Birgen with piano accompaniment by Sherry Freund. The event is free and open to the public.

Halloween parade

The Palmerton Halloween Parade will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Trick or treat night

Trick or treat night will be held in the Palmerton Borough from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 26. Have your porch light on during these hours if you wish to participate in this fun time. Drivers, beware of children crossing the streets. Let’s enjoy a safe evening.

Operation Warm-A-Child

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, is doing a new or gently used coat drive for infant to school-aged children. Drop-off locations: JUCC Office or Country Junction main entrance. Drive ends on Nov. 10. Church office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Community meal

A free community meal will be served from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 24 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. Come enjoy a meal and fellowship.

Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Menu items include eggs to order, potatoes, pancakes, SOS, toast, cereal, hash, ham, bacon, sausage, OJ, coffee, tea and milk. Adult and children prices.

Palmerton Area Library

Saturday Story Time will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Tutor Match Students in first through sixth grade needing extra help with homework can sign up for one-on-one tutoring. Tutoring will be scheduled based on need and availability of tutors. Call the library at 610-826-3424 for more information.
