One person was injured Tuesday night in a crash along Route 309 in Rush Township. The crash occurred at 10:30 p.m. as the car was traveling south just north of the intersection with Ye Old Hauto Road. The car swerved to the right, skidding into an embankment and rolling onto its side.

The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua Community ambulance before being transported to an area hospital. A female occupant refused medical treatment.

The Hometown fire company responded to the scene with their fire police maintaining traffic control at the scene.
